Why, I do declare!

 Reasons I should not join this mini-season of LJ Idol: 

• I'm smack in the middle of my busy season at work
• In another month I'll have two editing projects running concurrently (something I try hard to avoid but sometimes I just can't say no to a project)
• I haven't written anything longer than a FB post since last time I played... five years ago?? Longer? It was still on LJ, I remember that.
• My husband will whinge and pout about being an "Idol widow"
• The things I think about these days - and thus will likely write about - are boring AF
• If I don't have time or energy to clean my house or work out, how can I have the time/energy to do this?

Reasons I'm going to play anyway: 

• FOMO
• It's been literally life-changing in several previous seasons - maybe lightning will strike once again, in some totally unexpected way (but really, mostly FOMO)

So yeah - I'm in.

Oh gosh! I'm so far behind on slang (which is totally appropriate at my age) that I tend to figure if I know it, everyone knows it because it's OLD. But thanks for making the effort and googling. I look forward to your Idol posts as well!

I totally LOLed at "Idol Widow." I might have to share that one with my husband. He tolerates my writing habit and just sort of rolls his eyes a lot. ;)

I suspect there are a lot of Idol Widows out there. I envy the couples who play together - that must be fun.
